Ceramic Foam Filters

Ceramic is a material that is hard yet brittle. It is resistant to heat and corrosion and can be given a specific shape by subjecting to high temperature. The base material is inorganic and non-metallic.

Foam is created by pushing gas through PU and creating voids of different pore sizes measured as pores per inch (PPI).

Ceramic Foam Filter is the resultant product obtained by using above two materials. They are used for filtration of molten grey iron, malleable cast iron, non-ferro alloys, ductile iron and occasionally copper alloys, etc

Popularly known in the abbreviation of CFF, these filters are 3-dimensional pieces that allow molten metals to pass through the voids. Molten metal that is filtered is duly purified and almost void of oxides. Turbulent flow of molten metal is also arrested due to zigzag path that has been specially designed.

The CFF possess great chemical stability and do not react with the metal being filtered. In order to achieve desired purity of metal, one can use CFF having different pore sizes. Our CFF are made in various shapes such as Square, Round, Rectangular or even Tri-angular
